So, recently I started watching this show called the IT Crowd.  I had never heard of it before until I stumbled across a mention of it over at Topless Robot.  Being a former IT guy (I spent two years working as a System Support Technician for a bank here in Michigan.) the premise of this show struck a cord in me.  I HAD to watch it.  If it has anything close to some of the situations I had to deal with when I worked for the bank, it should be HILARIOUS.

Normally, I'm not a big fan of British comedy.  I just don't get most of it.  Maybe it's because I'm a born and bred American, or maybe my sense of humor just hasn't evolved enough, I don't know.  Luckily, the IT Crowd delivered on a level that I could understand, as well as relate to.  I remember fondly several times when I worked at the bank where someone would call me with a problem and the answer was simply to reboot the computer.  In the IT Crowd, every support call seems to begin with the same recommendation, "Did you turn it off and on again?"  My favorite scene so far is when Roy (on the right in the picture above) asks a caller if they "know how a button works?"  Granted, it might not seem very funny reading it here, but I've actually HAD that call... and worse.

While the IT Crowd still contains a fair amount of British humor that I just don't get, it's still a hell of a fun show to watch, and I'd recommend it to anyone.  The first four seasons are available on Netflix right now!
